Lambton County – December 1, 2025 – The Sarnia-Lambton Ontario Health Team (S-L OHT) and local partners announce expanded resources designed to help residents more easily navigate their healthcare options throughout the holiday season.
This year, there are several new updates for residents, including expanded access through Health Care Connect, updated walk-in and after-hours care options, MobileCare schedules, and extended holiday hours for Virtual Urgent Care Ontario on December 24-26 and December 31-January 1. The S-L OHT’s Holiday Health Resources flyer also highlights additional supports, such as local mental health and addictions services, vaccination availability, and other community programs. The resources are available on the S-L OHT website and social media channels.
“When people know where to go and who to call, they feel more confident and prepared,” said Nadine Neve, Executive Lead, S-L OHT. “This work is a true collaboration across the system, and the new resources reflect what matters most to residents and families.”
The flyer reflects a co-design process involving local healthcare partners and the S-L OHT’s Patient Family Care Partners (PFCP), who helped shape the content based on what residents identify as most helpful when seeking care during the holidays.
“Now is a good time to reach out to your primary care provider for any questions about hours, and if you don’t have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, Health Care Connect can help get you started,” said Dr. Vid Singh, Primary Care Clinical Co-design Lead. “Our community has many effective care options that can help people get the support they need while keeping emergency departments available for true emergencies.”
